About Jyoti

Colour, pattern and textiles have been the inspiration throughout Jyoti Sigouin’s career as a print and embroidery designer for the fashion market. Her earliest memories are of hours spent absorbed in drawing imaginary worlds peopled by figures in fantastical outfits, and she has never lost this desire to tell a story and describe a character through imagery and design.

She completed the MFA in Performance Costume at Edinburgh College of Art in June 2021, where her skills in textiles, pattern, colour and illustration and long-standing love of film, theatre, dance, period costume and literature were combined and developed.

With a studio space and screen-printing facilities in Edinburgh, Jyoti is available for commissions and collaborative projects within the fields of costume and textiles.
